What it is for

A paper gradebook does not do the math for you. In this spreadsheet you enter grades and the letter «a», and it works out the average grade, the final grade and the attendance percentage, and highlights students who are at risk.

What is inside

  • «Settings»: class, subject, period, risk threshold and allowed number of absences.
  • «Students»: a list of up to 40 people.
  • «Gradebook»: up to 40 class dates, grades 2–5 and «a», color highlighting, average grade, absences, attendance and final grade.
  • «Results»: the status of each student, grade distribution, knowledge quality and pass rate, a chart.

Who it is for

Teachers in schools and colleges, instructors of clubs and sports sections, tutors and group leaders.

What you get

The package includes a blank spreadsheet and a filled-in sample with fictional data, so you can see how the formulas and checks work. It is a spreadsheet built on ordinary formulas, not an accounting program. All fixes and new versions of the project are free.

Compatibility

Excel 2007 and later, LibreOffice. No macros. Rates, thresholds and reference values are kept in settings: check them against the rules that apply to you before use. Calculations are approximate. The file is in English.

An average grade below the threshold or more absences than allowed — such students are highlighted in red.
Is it suitable for a club?
Yes, for any class or group of up to 40 people.
