What it is for
Utility bills are easy to mix up: what is metered, what is by area, what has been paid. Enter readings and payments — the workbook calculates consumption, charges and balance, and shows whether there is a debt or an overpayment.
What is inside
- “Settings”: address, floor area, year, services with rates and the month the rates change.
- “Readings”: meter consumption is calculated from the previous reading.
- “Payments”: payments for each month.
- “Charges”: a matrix of services by month, total, paid and balance.
- “Summary”: yearly totals by service and a chart.
Who it is for
Homeowners and tenants, building managers and residents’ associations, and small offices that pay utility bills and want to keep an eye on costs.
What you get
An empty template and a filled-in sample with fictitious data, so you can see how the formulas and checks work. It is an Excel template built on ordinary formulas. All fixes and new versions of the project are free.
Compatibility
Excel 2007 and later, LibreOffice. No macros. Rates are in the settings: take them from your bill. The calculation is indicative. The file is in English.
